MEMORY SHREDS (2026)
Memory Shreds is a collecition of LIDAR scans I took of my suburban garden. For me it is a way to remember the changing states of life and death that exist within this specific ecosystem. As my memory is not completely accurate, neither are the images. I find it interesting to see what the phone can capture and what is left out. I think of the black background as the larger unknown.
I am currently developing this body of work for a solo show exhibition. I am starting with prints of the point clouds, as these are the most accesible, and will include videos and 3D versions as well. Some questions I am grappling with while making these include: What is the suburban dream founded upon? Is the urban wildlife interface sustainable? What does it mean to care for a space?
